How to Be Healthy
Being healthy is important for feeling good and having energy. Here are some tips to help you be a healthy person:
- Eat healthy foods. Eat lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein and dairy. Limit junk food, soda and sweets. Drink plenty of water.
- Be active. Exercise at least 30-60 minutes daily. Take walks, play sports, dance or do exercises at home. Being active keeps your body strong.
- Get enough sleep. Kids your age need 8-10 hours of sleep per night. Going to bed and waking up at the same time each day helps your body rest.
- Practice good hygiene. Take a shower, brush your teeth and wash your hands regularly to avoid getting sick.
- Make check-ups a habit. Visit the doctor and dentist for regular checkups to catch any health issues early.
- Have a positive attitude. Focus on the good things in life. Spend time with family and friends. Help others when you can.
- Manage stress. Make time to relax, listen to music or do hobbies you enjoy. Getting enough sleep and physical activity can also help reduce stress.
- Avoid unhealthy habits. Don’t smoke, vape, drink alcohol or use drugs. These can damage your health.
- Be safe. Wear seatbelts, helmets and protective gear for activities to avoid injury.
- Know your body. Pay attention to any changes and tell an adult if you feel sick or have any unusual symptoms.
